Your wedding is personal, and so is the data behind it. This explains exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do.

The short version

We collect what we need to run a wedding planner and nothing else. We do not sell your data. We do not sell your guests' data. We do not run advertising trackers.

You can export everything you have with one click, and you can ask us to delete it.

1. What we collect

Account information: your email address, your name or display name, and optionally your pronouns and time zone.

Wedding information: everything you enter about your wedding, date, venue, budget, checklist, vendors, documents, inspiration images, registry, seating, and timeline.

Guest information: the names and any details you choose to record about your guests, plus what they submit through your RSVP link (attendance, dietary needs, allergies, song requests, and any plus-ones).

Payment information: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment and we store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status, and its renewal date. We never receive or store your full card number.

Technical information: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service, and, when you submit a support request, your browser's user agent and the page you were on, so we can reproduce the problem.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: store your plan, show it to you and to your collaborators, and render the public pages you choose to publish.

To process payments and manage your subscription.

To answer you when you contact support or send a feature request.

To keep the service secure, diagnose problems, and improve how it works.

To send you service messages, such as billing notices or important changes. We will not send you marketing email you did not ask for.

3. What we never do

We do not sell your personal information, or your guests' personal information, to anyone.

We do not share your data with advertisers, or use it to build advertising profiles.

We do not read your wedding data except where you have explicitly asked us to help with a support request, or where we are legally required to.

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to operate:

Supabase, database, authentication, and file storage

Stripe, payment processing and subscription billing

Cloudflare, hosting and content delivery

Our AI provider, only the content you submit to an AI feature, and only when you use one

Our email provider, only when we send you a message you have prompted, such as a support reply

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the safety or rights of someone.

5. Information you make public

When you enable an RSVP link, a public registry, a shared document, or a public timeline, the information on that page becomes visible to anyone with the link.

Please think especially carefully before publishing a registry shipping address, and remember that link previews may be cached by messaging apps outside our control.

You can turn any of these off at any time, though we cannot recall a preview that has already been cached elsewhere.

6. Your guests' information

When you add guests, you decide what to record about them. We process that information on your behalf, in order to provide the service to you.

We do not contact your guests for our own purposes, and we do not add them to any mailing list.

If one of your guests asks us to remove their information, we will point them to you, since it is your guest list, unless the law requires us to act directly.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is open, so your wedding plan is there when you come back to it.

When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your data from our live systems. Residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before they age out.

We may keep basic billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

8. Security

Your data is stored with row-level security, meaning the database itself enforces that you can only read your own wedding and the weddings you have been invited to. Traffic is encrypted in transit.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly and tell you what we know.

9. Your rights

You can access and correct most of your information directly in the app.

You can export a full copy at any time from Settings → Your data.

You can ask us to delete your account and your data, or to tell you what we hold about you, by emailing the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, for example under the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you live.

10. Children

EverAfter is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

12. Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders.
